Zine Concept Something

How do you describe your creative production? Are you a writer, a graphic designer, a web developer, an animator or more?

There are many ways to describe my works as a graphic designer in terms of professionalism such as without design, no structure, weird, awkward, destructive, out of place and creative. I use Photoshop to create works by which I mean mixing images to create art and additional graphics for videos. Those graphics will be imported into other Adobe products and exported out to be edited into said video.

Photography and drawing are like a mixture of milk and shaking to make bread or something, I still have love for drawing despite not making any sort of real productive works with it. I spent most of my time at Richland improving to realize that I need to spend time outside of class to get better which I still try to do. On the other hand, Photography is like drawing and sketching except that you have to point and shoot. It's fun figuring out what capabilities your camera has and what sort of photos it can produce. Then you have a then I call the "Vetting Process" where we look through hundreds of photos that were taken on that day; it can take atleast two hours or more to finish the process.

For web development, where I need much more practice in my point of view and I'm happy to say so. I focus on using the latest web practices in HTML and CSS3 such as the grid system, CSS reset. I do not use JavaScript as much and have a basic understanding how it works so JQuery is a hit or miss for me. The fun part about and why I love web design the most is figuring out what works and what doesn't and solving said issues by spending hours figuring them out. The only framework we worked with at Richland is Bootstrap which I didn't use for my final exam project over the practice of hard-coding and making your own custom code for a site.

Tell us in detail about your creativity and include 12 - 15 images that show the type of work you do.

Curriculum Vitae Exercise

Curriculum Vitae Exercise

Begin by addressing these questions

  • What are my personal, academic, family and career goals?
  • How am I unique from others?
  • How would I describe myself?
  • What is the most important thing I want people to know about me?

My goals are to become a web developer, graphic designer or photographer being one, two or all three at entry level and become skilled enough but not to see it as a job, but something else of different value. I also have abilities in video editing and animations and I see these as incentives or addons to making content for others to enjoy. I do not desire to become the very best of the best in the industry but become someone who can provide you as a client with a client first approach; content worthy of your attention. I want to personally see if a two-college student like myself can become a professional in the real world.

What makes me unique from others that I am a masochist which fits in with the stressful-inducing tasks any of the three careers above have. For web development, hard coding, testing the code and solving problems are enjoyable. For graphic designer, with no one knowing what they want in their works, the long hours of testing out what fits with the work and detailing the details is incredibly fun. For  Photography, it is how hard it is to produce photography-worthy photos, looking at the hundreds of photos and the vetting process on which photos get picked to be seen by others.

I would describe myself with these words; Creative, technical, underdeveloped, flawed and quirky. Too be honest, there should be more words to use.

The most important thing I want people to know about me is that I am Special Education. I want to prove to my parents that a two-year degree student such as myself can get somewhere with themselves and become productive members of society. I may not be the hardest worker or even a study in the force but I've got the heart to attempt to carry it out.

I have volunteer experience as a graphic designer using Photoshop and Indesign at JK Wong Kung Fu Academy for a couple of years, having designed basic logos for t-shirts, medals and simple posters. On my free time, I practice web design in Dreamweaver and produce posters in Photoshop and I draw. Happen to be part of a performing group in Richardson.
